It’s the halfway mark in this NFL Season and this season has thrown fans for a spin. It might have messed up your fantasy rankings, or put you at the top of that leaderboard.
If you haven’t had an opportunity to check in on what’s going on each week, here are the top stories to take out of the first 8 weeks.
Indiana Jones to the Rescue
The Indianapolis Colts have not been known as one of the top teams in the AFC after Peyton Manning left the team at the end of the 2011 season. This season may be different, though. With tight-end Tyler Warren, running back Jonathan Taylor, and quarterback Daniel Jones, it’s looking likely that this team will be making its way to the Superbowl.
Daniel Jones, also known as Indiana Jones this season, played for the New York Giants last season, and was not known as anything special. But now that he’s been traded to the Colts, he has complete MVP potential.
Not to be biased, but the Colts are the clear pick for this year’s Superbowl win!
Besties for Life: Jaxson Dart & Cam Skattebo
While Daniel Jones may have left the New York Giants, two rookies to the team are making headlines. Quarterback Jaxson Dart and running back Cam Skattebo have become everyone’s favorite duo. Known for their chaotic, head-butting behavior, these two would make any football pairing jealous.
Maybe all best friends should start showing affection by head-butting…
Injuries on Injuries
Fantasy teams have been especially screwed over by all the injuries plaguing the NFL throughout the first half of the season. Fan favorites like Cam Skattebo, Tyreek Hill, Joe Burrow and more have been pulled due to injuries. From turf toe to a dislocated knee and torn ligaments, career changing and season ending occurrences keep happening week after week.
Everyone loves Joe Burrow, but if you want to keep your peace, don’t look up what turf toe looks like.
The Jets Almost Going 0-17
Things were not looking good for the New York Jets, going 0-7 until last week. Fans started making assumptions that this team was going without a single win this season. Lucky for them, the week 8 game against the Cincinnati Bengals got them their first win on the season, taking the win but a singular point.
While these 32 teams have been playing different than anyone could predict, the season is far from over, and anything can happen. Good luck to you for the rest of the fantasy season!
